HAPPY BIRTHDAY EARLENE...

On Friday evening, we had a beautiful dinner at the Historic Holly Hotel with Norm and Earlene Landis for her birthday.

KICKOFF FOR CHRISTMAS...

Last Saturday was a primitive dream come true!  My friends Tammy and Debbie went with me to Cabin In The Woods and we had the best time. Cheryl Jones was such a gracious hostess for her Christmas open house. The shop was wonderful, the entertainment great, the fires toasty and OH the log cabins!  Can't wait to go back again!

Thank you Cheryl for a fantastic day!

STEP BACK IN TIME...

Saturday afternoon was like a dream. We were invited by Norm and Earlene Landis to attend a dinner set in the 1800s at the Waterloo Farm Museum. The tour was so interesting, the home was out of this world, the actors were outstanding and the food was fabulous. Thank you so much for inviting us!

CHRISTMAS AT THE MILL!

In less than two weeks Holly Hills Primitives will be hosting our annual Christmas open house. Christmas At The Mill will surely get you in the holiday spirit. Our elves have been so busy getting our handmades all stitched up. I've been on buying trips. Dick has been making a lot of sawdust in his workshop. AND the boxes have been arriving daily!

Who doesn't love an old-fashioned Christmas?  Come join us on November 1 from 10-5 and November 2 from noon-4. The shop will be a winter wonderland! Candles, music, trees, Christmas lights, yummy food and hourly door prizes!

ALSO, Tammy Jias from Grungy Primitives will be unveiling her new series (plus lots more) on November 1.

BLOGGING BUDDIES...

What a fantastic Harvest At The Mill show we just had!!  It was so much fun both at dinner Friday night and the show on Saturday. We were so fortunate to have some of our very own blogging buddies set up beautiful booths this time.
Marie Morgan came a long ways to join us and she is as much fun in person as she is on her blog!
Earlene Landis is always a favorite!  Great booth!
Bobbie and Dave Beauchamp outdid themselves!
Kris Miller from Spruce Ridge Studios joined us with her incredible rug hooking!
Teresa and Kevin Kogut are just fantastic!

More pictures will follow after vacation, but Kelly Hollandsworh from Scarecrow Cabin and Janice and Bob Ahee always bring beautiful prims from Prims By The Water (Back Porch Antiques). Hope I didn't leave out any bloggers that joined us.
Now it's off to pack and head out tomorrow morning for a fun vacation!!!
Until next time...

FUN EVENING...

Made a quick trip up to our Little House last night to do some yard work and cleaning. It was so peaceful and so hard to leave to come home!
When we got home, Abbey and Lucy came over for the last sleepover before school starts. Our son, Chad, brought over a motorized skateboard over for everyone to try. What a blast!!!
Guess my photos got out of order!
Time to get some rest and prepare for a busy week.
Until next time...

TO MARKET, TO MARKET...

Just returned from a whirlwind trip to Columbus with Peggy (Wren In The Willow). We loaded the van to the ceiling with great new primitives for our Autumn At The Mill open house on August 23-24. It was so much fun to see old friends and to meet new ones too.

I've been so busy sewing up a storm and Dick has the wood shop humming. We will also be featuring some FANTASTIC new creations from Grungy Primitives (Tammy Jias).

We had a blast, but it's always great to come back to home sweet home.

ADDITION...

I'm so sorry that I forgot to add Bobbie Beauchamp (The Evening Stitcher) to our list of blogger friends vending at Harvest At The Mill. Bobbie has been putting together a great collection of antiques and has been working her fingers to the bone on her handmades!

BACK TO OUR ROOTS

Hi Prim Pals,

Just returned from being a part of the fabulous Back To Our Roots show hosted by Marie Faren and Mike Spangler in Medina, Ohio.  Oh what fun we had!!!  The show was heaven, the booths were out of this world, but all of the vendors were the best!  Tammy Jias (Grungy Primitives) and I shared a booth and it was packed!  You need to mark your calendars for next June.  This is something you prim gals won’t want to miss.

The highlight of my trip was meeting Robin Harrison (and Lee) from Millstone Mercantile.  We have had an eight year long distance friendship.  We started out right here on our blog and have talked about once a month for eight years.  It was awesome to finally meet face to face.

You’ll have to excuse the format of this blog, trying to figure out how to get pictures back on!!!  Grrrrr!!!

I’ve missed you all so much and can’t wait to get back on here to see what’s been going on in all of your lives.  The pictures below are of our booth and one of Robin and I at dinner on Friday night.

I hope you will all mark your calendars for our Harvest At The Mill show on September 6 from 10-3.  It is now inside at the Karl Richter Campus in Holly, Michigan.  I am in awe of the vendors that are coming from all over the midwest.  It is going to be FANTASTIC!  You can watch for our updates at http://harvestatthemill.blogspot.ca/

We’re going to try to load this and see how it goes.  Hope to be back in a couple of days.

Until next time…
