PICTURE TRAIL TROUBLES!

Does anybody out there know how to get started on Picture Trail? Dick and I have both tried and have not had any luck at all! I even tried to start a new blog for our Harvest At The Mill show and it keeps telling me "address not valid". I want to get the information out there for you gals coming to the show, so I guess I'll just start with my blog right here! As you know, the show will be on September 7th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will be filled with vendors from approximately 9 states and will be all early goods/handmades. We have four hotels giving discount rates and reservations MUST be made no later than August 16 to receive the discounts!
Hotels Include: Comfort Inn, 9040 Holly Rd., Grand Blanc, MI 48439, 810-694-0000; Holiday Inn Express, 3405 Regency Park Dr., Grand Blanc, MI 48439, 810-695-3000; Fairfield Inn & Suites, 3125 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, MI 48430, 810-629-0400; and Holiday Inn Express, 17800 Silver Parkway, Fenton, MI 48430, 810-714-7171
Our blogger/facebook gathering will take place at Bittersweet Cafe at 6 p.m. This will give vendors that will be joining us a chance to get their trailers packed up and booths torn down. We have gals coming from all over and it should be a blast!
Keep checking on our picturetrail.com/harvestatthemill for more information or you can call the shop at 248/634-7040. Sorry for the inconvenience, but it will all be worth it! Until next time...

A FEW NEW GOODIES...

Good evening Prim Pals! Wow, what a difference a few days make in the weather. It was in the 70's here today and felt glorious! Our rug hooking group met and we had such a great time. Sheila brought a delicious pasta salad and rolls and Sue brought a "to die for" flan for desert. Teresa Kogut joined us today too, which is always a treat. AND Bobbie from The Evening Stitcher has been coming whenever possible. She is just the sweetest person and fits right in with our group.
A few fall goodies are starting to sneak in. It won't be long before I can deck out the shop for the season - CAN'T WAIT!!!
I am in love with this early 1800's table. It is so unusual with the drop leaf on each end.
This is one of the nicest pie safes I have seen in quite awhile with the original black paint!
This cupboard is so unusual, it has a BIG spring on the front of the door!
Wouldn't this window be cute on a porch?
This strawberry carrier is my favorite piece right now. I could just see it on an old harvest table filled with fall goodies.
Now on to the important stuff! I cannot get that dumb picture trail to work for anything, but we will keep trying. I think I might start a new Harvest At The Mill blog so I can get our information out there to all of you. Give me another day or so to keep trying picture trail. In the meantime, we have a FEW spots still available for our show on September 7th. Remember, it is all early goods and primitive handmades. If you are interested in joining us, please contact me at hollyhillsprimitives@yahoo.com Could you please also e-mail pictures of your wares with your request? We'd love to have you as a dealer or a guest and try to be there for our blogger gathering on Saturday evening - hubbies welcome! Be watching for our new blog OR picture trail - I'll update you as soon as we get one of them going. Enjoy this cooler weather! Until next time...

BLOGGER GATHERING UPDATE...

Whew! This was the actual temp on the car thermometer yesterday and it felt like double that! Today was beautiful, the temps fell a little and it's supposed to be even better tomorrow. I feel like I can think again! Just wanted to give you an update on our blog gathering for September 7th after the Harvest At The Mill show. I found out tonight that Bittersweet Cafe is willing to let us use the whole restaurant if we can guarantee at least 25 people. They have great food, a liquor license, and they are going to provide live music for us. We will have the inside and the patio just for all of us to get acquainted. Remember, I have four hotels giving discount rates from 6-8 miles from downtown Holly. If you think you might be coming, just let me know so we can get this great place for our meeting place. I am so excited for both the show and the gathering. The whole day should be a blast! Looking forward to "meeting" you all! Until next time...

BLOG GATHERING...

Good evening friends! There's been talk over the past few years of having a blog gathering, which sounds like so much fun! Well, how about on September 7th? Bobbie Beauchamp (The Evening Stitcher) and Janice Ahee (Prims By The Water) are vendors at our Harvest At The Mill show. Karen (My Colonial Home) has already made hotel reservations to join us. Teresa (Homestead Deppen) said she may be here. Kelly (Scarecrow Cabin) is coming. Lots of facebook friends are also going to join us. This might just be the time for everyone to get together to get acquainted in person. Let me know if you might be interested and we can get some plans underway!
Yesterday I went to the Oakland County 4-H Fair and watched our Abbey in her showmanship rabbit class. She is such a little professional! She ended up taking Best In Show and LOTS more with her rabbits and guinea pigs. I also hung out with Lucy. Wouldn't be a 4-H Fair without at least one pony ride. She thought Charlie was a pretty nice pony! Anyway, it's jammie time, but let me know what you think about the get-together! Until next time...

LOTS OF NEW EARLY PIECES...

Oh my, I am so loving our new "home" for the shop. It is wonderful to have more space, light and air! I just had to share some of the antiques that have found their way to our shop.
This whole area is new to the shop! We got the pie safe, primitive table and chairs, old rocker, cradle and drying rack! Wish I had room to bring that table home, it is early 1800's and it came from Iowa.
This OLD black pie safe is also a keeper! I even put the first pumpkin of the year on top!
Another old cupboard that has the greatest spring on the front! The rope bed comes with the new feather tick. And who doesn't love a little fireplace in their bedroom?
We still have the kitchen "island" and Dick is still trying to figure out a way to fit it in here!
Just a few other random shots around the shop. Yup, it's the best move we ever made! Hope you are all having a wonderful Sunday! Until next time...

FUN FRIDAY...

Oh my, what a great day! Got to the shop, did a little tweeking and had a wonderful surprise visit from Theresa and Tom from Homestead Deppen. What a sweet couple! Wish they could have stayed all day, but they were on their way to Iowa. It is always so much darned fun to meet fellow bloggers, especially since I have followed Theresa's blog for so many years.
So meet Theresa and Tom!
I'm hoping that they will be back for our Harvest At The Mill show on September 7th. So many bloggers have said they are going to be here, maybe we should plan something for after the show on Saturday??? What do you think???
We spent the afternoon of the 4th volunteering for our fireworks parking. Gannon worked several hours and had a ball with our village manager, police chief and fire chief. The fireworks were fabulous and it was so much fun to spend time with our "first best boy".
Once again, we had a great time on WEdnesday with our rug hooking group. Bobbi (The Evening Stitcher) joined us again and brought me this wonderful necklace! Thank you so very much my friend! Looking forward to having her with us many more times. Well friends, this old body is awfully tired! We brought in a truck and trailer load of some BEAUTIFUL primitive furniture tonight. Can't wait to get to the shop to price it and put it all in place tomorrow morning. Stop in and see what's new! Until next time...

BLOGGERS AND BIRTHDAYS...

I just love having new blog friends stop in at the shop! The other day a sweet young couple came in and she introduced herself at Kelly from Scarecrow Cabin blog. I'd like you to meet her!
Then Friday and Saturday we got the new Judy Condon book (it is fabulous) and the special issue of A Simple Life (just full of wonderful homes and gardens).
Yesterday we had so much fun at our little Lucy's 4th birthday party. She was so excited that her cousin Sydney came (she told me she is her best friend)! They had a ball playing in the new sand box, with princess dolls and styling big sister Abbey's hair. Happy Birthday sweet Lucy!
We had lots of other fun things happen this weekend too! Peggy (Wren In The Willow) came to spend the afternoon with me on Friday, Earlene (Primitive Passion Decorating) stopped in for a visit on Saturday morning, our son-in-law Tony completed the Tough Mudder at Michigan International Speedway on Saturday and we got to have Abbey and Lucy for a "campover" on Friday night. It was a great weekend and now I get two days at home to just sew and get some things ready for the shop. Speaking of the shop, we signed another new vendor to the Harvest At The Mill show from Kentucky! It is growing like crazy. As soon as we get picture trail figured out you will be able to go to picturetrail.com/harvestatthemill for all the show information. Have a wonderful week and we'll talk soon. Until next time...
