LESS THAN TWO WEEKS AWAY...

Good evening prim pals! Wow, the countdown is on for the Harvest At The Mill show on September 7th! Don't forget, you can go to http://harvestatthemill.blogspot.ca/ to get all the latest news. We are still adding vendors and there are some great ones coming! Just wanted to remind all of you bloggers out there that we are having the blog gathering at 6 p.m. at Bittersweet Cafe after the show. They are giving us the whole restaurant and patio, you will be able to order what you would like to eat or drink, and we will be having some live music (nice and soft). This is our chance to get acquainted IN PERSON and have some time to gab. Also, hubbies are more than welcome! We are getting new things in the shop almost daily. Still so much to do though! I've got to get out and get those corn stalks and get the outside of the mill all gussied up for our guests. Grab some country friends and come have fun with us a week from Saturday. Until next time...

BACK FROM MARKETS...

Oh my, what a great time I had at the markets! (And what great goodies we found!) Peggy (Wren In The Willow) and I took off Wednesday morning and hit the warehouses, then Thursday we went to two FANTASTIC shows, Friday went to order writing and then another show on Saturday before we headed home. The van was so loaded that we had to strap Christmas trees to the top! Always fun to spend time with friends, meet new people, see the wonderful creations and buy great things for the shop.
Fall is definitely filling the shop.
Who doesn't love white pumpkins? We even have a few white pumpkin candles, but I'm lovin' those concrete pumpkins!
The candy corn garland, picks and candle rings are great!
This wonderful doll is my very favorite! Wait until you see what I ordered from this artist for Christmas!!!
More dolls, towels and goodies all through the shop!
The crows are flying in from everywhere!
You won't believe the new tart warmers that are new to the market. Fabulous!
New bedding, rugs, towels and more...
And who doesn't love red???? I am so excited to be picking up another great order of handmades later in the week from one of my very favorite artists. You will love it all! So come on in and see what's new, it has already started to sell. This is the very best season of the year and I think a lot of people are ready to start their fall decorating. Also, more vendors are signing up for the Harvest At The Mill. We are all going to have so much fun, hope you can stay for the gathering! Until next time...

BUSY WEEK AHEAD...

I'd like to start out with a reminder for all of you friends that are planning on coming to the Harvest At The Mill show and the blog gathering. If you are planning on getting the discount rates for the hotels, you must make your reservations before August 16. You can get all of the information on our new show blog at http://harvestatthemill.blogspot.ca/ Just think, in less than a month, we can finally put some faces with some names. It is going to be a blast!!!
Yesterday, I was sitting on the porch of the shop and watched this little Gold Finch munching away on the sunflower seeds. He was so adorable!
Dick finished up this make-do chair yesterday too and plans to have more done by the show. Wonder if I'll ever get to have one at our house???
We got this OLD dehydrator in this week and it is a sweetie. I could think of so many uses!
Our dolls and stump dolls are already flying out of the shop. Guess that means LOTS more sewing at Holly Hills Primitives for the next month. I am getting so excited, this is the week of the markets and I'm hoping to bring back a huge load of new goodies for the shop. Well friends, time to get creating again. Have a great day and don't forget to make your discount reservations. Until next time...

SEWING MARATHON...

What a wonderful week I've had! My bestest friend, Connie, has been with me since Sunday afternoon, but is sadly leaving in the morning to return to Tennessee. She is also known as the Funky Tennessee Artist. We have sewn so much this week that I don't know if I could thread one more needle! We have created 44 new items between us in 3 1/2 LONG days. It was so great to share our ideas, talk, laugh and create together. There were lots of laughs, but this one takes the cake. Yesterday Connie was outside of the shop "grubbing" up our goodies and her apron strings got stuck under her "under carriage" and she couldn't move! I haven't laughed that hard in ages!
We had dolls, scarecrows, pumpkins everywhere! You'll have to pop in and take a peek!
I am so thankful for this wonderful friendship. Don't know what I'd do without her! Another surprise this week was a visit from my cousin and his wife that were visiting from Texas (Butch and Kelly). Since our shop has moved to the old Holly mills, it was so interesting to hear stories of the mill when it was up and running as an actual mill.
Don't forget, be sure to check out http://harvestatthemill.blogspot.ca/ for all information and updates on the Harvest At The Mill show. We will be updating the vendor list shortly. We have so many fantastic vendors coming, you won't believe your eyes. Remember to get your reservations made for discounted accommodations before August 16, all information is on the new blog. Also, plan on staying for our blog/facebook gathering after the show at 6 p.m. at Bittersweet Cafe. It is going to be wonderful to see your faces in person! Until next time...
