MUCH NEEDED R&R...

Hi Prim Pals! It's been a hectic couple of weeks, but I'm going to try to get caught up. Dick and I just returned from the Little House for some much needed R&R! I can't believe that we hung out in our p.j.'s for two days! I had a little time to putz around the cottage, cook some fall meals and just get caught up with rest and my hubby. I put out a few fall decorations and it always brings a smile to my face when I find these paper mache heads in the box. Connie and I made them years ago and the memoreis are priceless.
Added some pumpkins to our table top and quite a few other things here and there.
We did go for a ride one afternoon and saw this flock of wild turkeys in the woods.
I've always wanted an old log house. We found this dear old cabin falling apart in the woods. Sure wish we could save the logs for an addition to the back of our Little House.
It was pouring rain while we were there. It just broke my heart to see it in such disrepair.
On our way home today, we saw the annual pumpkin patch along the way. Some of the leaves were still colorful, but I think we missed the peak in northern Michigan.
Our Rosie dog loves to travel with us. She was pretty relaxed in the back of the Jeep.
Before we left, Abbey's 4-H club had to do a window display for a county-wide project. Our daughter, Ashley, is the 4-H leader and they did every window on the front of the shop. It was awesome and they ended up winning the competition. Congratulations to my girls and their club!
I wanted to share the last car cruise of the year. Lisa and John ARE the car cruise. They do all of the planning, organizing and more. The end of the season is always the Halloween cruise and so much fun.
Even the cars get "dressed up"!
Our friend Cindy was a hoot in her "fat girl" costume!
The witch's legs were hilarious coming out of the hood of this one!
Every car put a bucket of candy in front of it and our Lucy had a ball filling her bucket!
Then it was on to spending a night with Gannon. Can you believe this driveway?? Wish the picture would show just how steep it really is. I park at the top and walk down - very carefully!
When I got up in the morning, the view across the lake was amazing. So quiet and peaceful. Just perfect. Now it's time to sew, stitch, build, redo the shop, and ready ourselves for the next season. Hope you are all enjoying this beautiful fall! Until next time...
