THE WOOL ROOM...

What a fantastic day I had today! Friend Sally invited me to go to The Wool Room, owned by Diane Kamick in South Lyon, Michigan today. Her husband, Randy, graciously offered to watch the shop so I could go. (Thank you Randy!) To say it was fabulous was an understatement! Sally and Diane in the top picture and a view of her beautiful wools and patterns. Diane helped me pick some great wools and I can't wait to get started on my next project! When we pulled up to her gray ranch home, it was very cute, but when we walked inside - it was UNBELIEVABLE! I felt like I had stepped back to the early 1800's in New England! She was so nice to let me take some pictures, but they definitely don't do it justice. We're hoping that Diane will come visit our rug hooking group and get more acquainted! After work tonight, Dick and I headed over to watch our 8 year old grandson Jack in his talent show. He danced to Michael Jackson, had the entire outfit, and was adorable! What a way to top off the night. Now it's time to get some sleep so I can be ready for our Springfest Open House tomorrow morning! Hope to see you there. Until next time...

  3. Good morning, Dawn! What a lovely post! I have always wanted to go to her home...I think she has a hooking group that meets once in a while in her home. I LOVE her wool! I am hoping to make it to your open house tomorrow...it depends on whether or not we babysit our grandkids..babysitting today as well..so no shopping or hooking for me! You should start a hooking room at your shop...with wool, patterns, and the whole nine yards! It would be wonderful!! Have a great Open House...see you next month!

  4. Wow, what a wonderful day you had. The wool shop and a tour of such a wonderfully decorated home. I would have wanted to just stay inside the home and drool. Thanks for sharing the pictures with us. Have a great Saturday. We have heavy rain and thunderstorms today. So dark outside.
