FUN DAY AT HOLLY HILLS...

Oh my, the great antiques are coming into Holly Hills Primitives as fast as I can put them out! This original Currier and Ives print is so sweet and perfect for springtime decorating.
I have a thing for old tin toys and this old typewriter is adorable!

A new stitchery with my favorite verse hangs over our "fireplace" at the shop.

The back of this old star mold is copper and I've never seen one before. Inside is a bakelite phonograph cleaner (for records).
Our nesting box is filled with all kinds of old goodies. Lots of green and red handles utinsels!

Are these bunnies sweet or what??? Perfect for the "white" decorating gals!
Along with these candy container Easter eggs.
Candle warmers make such a great gift and are such a safe way to smelly up your house!

These cute little tart warmers are another great gift - maybe Valentine's???

Need a bench (got a piano). This would be cute in any room with storage inside the bench. I have LOTS and LOTS more coming in the next week or so - keep watching!!!
We had a ball at the shop yesterday. Gannon came to work with me. He told me that since he is now 13, he should be able to answer the phone and have a little more "responsibility". Fine with me!! He loves to go over to Zanie Janie's and play games with her. Have you ever seen the game "Headbanz"? It is hilarious. They had the whole coffee shop in stitches.
Aunt Ashley came to pick up Gannon in the afternoon and took him to Abbey's talent show tryouts. She is singing "Rockin' Robin" in the show and Gannon snapped this picture of her at rehearsal. She was so excited that her "big cousin" was there, she even got him up there to sing. He said he was really embarrassed - but he loved every minute of it!!!
Well my friends, time to get ready to open the shop, put out more wares and have some Friday fun! The weather here is FRIGID - about 0 this morning!!! Hope you are all doing whatever makes you happy.
Until next time...

  3. Oh, my goodness. I've looked at the first 3 posts here and I feel so enriched. I love the displays, just love them!
I wished I lived close enough to visit! I love the Calumet cans, the stack of stools and the nest boxes. I never thought of doing that!

  4. Dawn, what great goodies you are finding for your shop. The small round stool pictured under the DO RE MI piano bench is a twin to the one I have in my livingroom. My stool belonged to my late grandmother who purchased it with trading stamps. Hope you are surviving this cold frigid weather, your friend from snowy Maine, Julie
