Neither one had ever been in a parade and they thought it was the greatest!
I had fun too, saw lots of familiar faces along the parade route.
Let us never forget our veterans. They are always at the beginning of the parade.
It seems like the group gets smaller and smaller with each passing year.
My husband (also a Viet Nam vet) drove a truck for the WWII vets that are no longer able to march. I had a lump in my throat this year, as this was Dad's favorite holiday and he is no longer able to even ride in the truck. Our Gannon marched behind the truck in Great-Grandpa's honor.
A parade wouldn't be a parade without Abbey. She decorated her bike and rode behind Gannon.
What a clan!! All EIGHT grandchildren showed up to cheer their Grandpa on today. Four of them were in the parade and the other four (little ones) had fun watching. What would we do without them???
Time to do a little cookout and spend some family time. Hope you all have a wonderful holiday.
Until next time...
This sounds like so much fun. My mom (Angela) is always telling me about the neat things that your town does. Sounds so neat. Hope you have a wonderful holiday weekend and enjoy time with your family!

Dawn, too funny. Just read Holly's comment to you. Gota stop all that free advertising , huh? (LOL) She even beat me to posting a comment. That's my girl. My heart was thinking of you this morning as I was preparing breakfast for Mr. P and myself. Was wishing great weather for you. Looks like you got sunshine. I know today is bittersweet for you thinking of your Dad. Visited Daddy's grave yesterday. He was a WW11 Vet. also. Have a wonderful afternoon with your family. We are grilling later in the day. Hugs!
