SPRING IS BURSTING OUT ALL OVER!

The geese are back and Mama is sitting on her nest. The "Old Man" comes to visit every day. I tried to get a close-up of him, but he just gently glides back into the water when you get too close. It won't be long until they are parading their babies across the back yard.
All of a sudden the blossoms are everywhere! This is surely a sign of spring.
I can almost taste those rhubarb pies already.
Bleeding hearts are starting to come out.
The tulips are opening.
And peonies are going to be everywhere!
Lucy stopped over and loved the flowers too. I love for her to come visit, she is one of the happiest babies I have ever known - right down to her little belly laugh.
Today started out to be a rainy old day, but soon the sun came out and it was beautiful. My friend Bonnie and I went on a little road trip and picked up some great "new" antiques for the shop. I can hardly wait to get in there to put it together tomorrow. Just wait until you see the potting benches Dick is working on - they will be perfect for any garden. I promise to have pictures tomorrow, but for today - time to just have fun.
Until next time...

  1. Wow, your flowers are really ahead of ours. Don't you just love to look at them popping up all over ~ the cutest one is Lucy of course. Reminds me of Kohen ~ he is such a happy baby & there is nothing better than listening to his laugh or giggle. Can't wait to see your new goodies.
Have a great week, my friend.
    hugs,
    Pam

  2. When we lived near Pontiac, Michigan, we use to see a group of ducks and their babies, every Spring, walking across a very busy road to their pond. Everyone knew about those ducks and drove carefully, or stopped completely by that area when they saw the ducks on the side of the road. I wonder if they still do that...

  3. Oh look at Lucy!! She is getting so big and so darned cute! Since I haven't met her and you haven't met Lili I think it is safe to say Lili is the happiest baby I have ever met!! :-)

Our forsythia is in bloom too - the bright yellow is such a warm welcome to the nice spring weather isn't it?

  4. It looks like those geese have the perfect place to raise a family right beyond your house.
Despite a really cold and snowy Winter, Spring always returns, doesn't it?
Be looking for your new treasures.

  5. OMGosh your plantings are doing wonderfully....we don't have anything close to that here.

My rhubarb just doesn't do anything - I might have to move it this year...it's close to a black walnut tree and that's poison to lots of plants/vegetables.
