HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU - my sweet Ashley. My baby girl turned thirty today and we got to spend the day together - at least most of it. We went to lunch and did a little shopping and then went up to visit Dad. My dad has always had a very soft spot in his heart for granddaughter Ashley and so we took up a piece of cake and took him outside for a visit. He loved being able to see little Lucy and hold her for a bit.
Isn't it just amazing how time flies as your children grow up? It seems like yesterday that we were running to dance rehearsals and then on to riding lessons and horse shows. Now she's a wife and a mother of two beautiful little girls, Abbey and Lucy. She is the one that is involved in PTO, riding lessons for Abbey and everything else motherhood involves. I'm so proud of the young woman she has grown into and it was a joy to spend some almost alone time together. (Of course, it's always fun to have Lucy or Abbey with us too.)
Happy birthday beautiful daughter.
Until next time...

ReplyDeleteDawn,
ReplyDeleteHappy b-day to your beautiful daughter! How proud your Dad looks.....and what joy that visit must have brought him! When I look at my children ages 30, 26 and 22 I am reminded of the Kenney Chesney song "Dont't Blink"
Hugs,
Lynn
