THE MORNING AFTER...

Whew! What a fun evening we had last night. At 5 p.m. the ladies were lined up for a whole block waiting to get their free shopping bags and coupons. The disc jockey had the tunes going and the stage was ready for Jill Jack at the other end of the street. Each shop had pink balloons blowing in the breeze and we were all ready! Gertrude the Garden Girl was up front and ready to meet our customers. She got a little dirty working in the garden, her socks were a little stained, but she was happy to be part of the festivities.

Poor Gertrude, she had been outside in her garden for so long that a bird made a nest right on the brim of her old hat. She's a big girl, about 4' tall!

Thank goodness for Carol! She came early and helped get the goodies set up and brought the most beautiful bouquet from her garden. We had matching aprons for the festivities - but got too busy to take a picture!

Before the party began, a few new goodies snuck into the shop. My favorite is this old board with the stitchery and old box attached.

This sweet little cupboard is also a cutie.

Do any of you grandmas need a rocker for your little ones? This one says, "Dear God, It's me again...".

Another sweet little chair. These would be perfect for your favorite prim dolly.

Aren't these beeskeeps cute as can be? We have LOTS of garden goodies in stock.

Early in the afternoon the stage went up and shopkeepers were scurrying to get everything ready. I had good intentions of taking pictures of everything, but... Oh well, maybe at the fall Ladies Nite Out.

I'd like to thank the customers that came to visit and hope they enjoy the treasures they found in the shop. Hope to see you again soon.

I also hope that you all enjoy a very special Mother's Day with your beautiful children and grandchildren. I'm so looking forward to a day off with my favorite people!

Until next time...
