AND THE FUN CONTINUES...

As we were leaving our neighborhood this morning for the shop, the sand cranes were right up next to the street. These creatures look almost prehistoric!
The Village of Holly had another fun family day today. It is called "Protect and Serve" and I'd like to thank our police and fire departments for making this so enjoyable and free for our area families. The firetrucks rolled into town.
Two BIG ones! The kids were allowed to get inside and check everything out.
There was even a baby firetruck for the little ones.
Our area ambulance was there.
Several times throughout the afternoon there was a "controlled burn" so people could see how fast a room fills with smoke.
Our police chief handed out free t-shirts to all the kids.
Beth the D.J. kept the tunes going all afternoon for a festive atmosphere.
The First Baptist Church gave out free bottled water and popcorn.
The Holly Moose Lodge was selling the greatest hotdogs.
The bounce house replaced the wedding tent in Battle Alley.
The lines were long for the face painting and balloon art.
The little ones were so proud of their painted faces.
They stepped right up to have their pictures taken.
Dick enjoyed setting out front of the shop and watching all of the festivities. Did I tell you that I love this town? We came home, had baby backs (YUMMY) and then I took a two hour nap. This has been quite the weekend in Holly. Tomorrow it's back to reality and I've GOT to sew, sew, sew for upcoming shows. Hope your weekend was fun too. Until next time...

  2. Hi Dawn. What is not to love about the town of Holly? Sounds like a quaint little town out of a good fiction novel...but you are blessed to be a part of it. Thanks for sharing it with us through your photos. Have fun creating.
