It was so great to be up north again, it's always like "coming home" as soon as we walk in the door. Abbey was so excited to be there, she had to run right over to our "measuring board" to see how much she had grown.
Sunday morning we went into town (Tawas) and walked through the craft show (didn't find a thing) and then out to the pier. Of course we had to stop and throw a penny in the fountain.
Papa and Abbey always have so much darn fun!
The fog had rolled in over Lake Huron and we were so disappointed. One of the "tall ships" was in the harbor and we could hardly see it. It was still beautiful!

When we went back to the cottage, we took the paddle boat out into the lake and went swimming. Abbey loved to do the "dead man's float" after the boats zipped by making waves.
Her life jacket was a little too big, but she didn't mind!
Last night Papa and Abbey went for a ride to look for deer and came across these Emu's, she loved that! (They also saw 11 deer.)When we got home this afternoon, we met Mom at the nursing home and took Dad out to dinner. This is the first time he has been out since May, so it was a great outing. He loved going for a ride and the coconut cream pie!

Dawn what a great weekend it looks like you had! We also went into Tawas, but it was Saturday night instead, and then off to Oscoda for putt putt golf. Found nothing at the craft show either. I'm too picky! The weather was unbelieveable! I read your posts below also.... what a sweet story about Abbey and her grandpa. How special. I will be talking with you soon! Carol
