SNOW, SNOW, SNOW...

Good snowy evenings gals! Yup, we're in the middle of the snowstorm too - maybe 4-6 inches. It's supposed to continue into tomorrow, so we may end up with more. I peeked out the door of the shop and the streets looked like a ghost town. My neighbor, Janie, and I both decided it was time to close up and head for home - but first a stop at the grocery store. It honestly felt great to get home a little early and have some time to get a few things done. Time to get the decorations in their boxes and putz a little! A few Valentine goodies are starting to show up at the shop. I don't do a lot, but it's always festive to have a few things. Seems like the towels are always a hot seller! I'm loving having the shop open Wed thru Sat now, at least for January and February. I feel like I have time to finally get to a lot of projects that have been on the back burner. My creative juices are flowing and I can't wait to get started on dolls, penny rugs, prim pillows, make-dos and more. I'm going to brainstorm with my bud Connie from Tennessee tonight - that always gets me going.
Well friends, try to stay warm and off the roads. I heard there's a cuddle alert out there!!!
Until next time...

  5. Your store looks so inviting. This time of year, even if Valentine's Day wasn't ahead, all that red sure perks things up doesn't it.
Enjoy your new hours, and I'm looking forward to seeing what your "juices" create.
Cuddle Alert, you are so sweet!!!
    Stay warm and safe too.

  7. Hi Dawn! I just found your blog. My husband and I have visited your store many times (we're the couple from Port Huron). It's filled with such wonderful prims and antiques! And I love the drive there! We're getting that snow here also so I'll be snuggled in tomorrow finishing some prim valentine dolls. See you soon... Suzanne

  9. Dawn,
Sounds like you got about the same amount of snow that we did here in SW Ohio.
Love the shop pictures!! I enlarged them...so that I could drool over them better!! I sure hope that we get to make the trip up this coming Spring.
    Take care and stay warm.

  10. Morning Dawn!

I do believe you have the same snow we got - well, most of the midwest got it didn't we???? I can't believe BasketPam got spared this storm!
We have 11 inches of the new white stuff this morning.

I think you have just the right amount of Valentine things....it can get a bit too much in some shops.

    Hugs, Karen

  11. Hi Dawn......I just noticed your brick floor in your shop. I love it. I think it is so nice for you to have a friendly shop keeper like Janie nearby.
    Take care.
