RECOVERY...

Well friends, just though I'd show you what you do with crutches when you don't need them anymore! We took our Gannon up to The Little House over the weekend for some much needed R&R and had a great time. After he was hit by the car, the hospital put an immobilizer on his leg and gave him crutches. They wanted him to try walking and see if it was just bruised. HOORAY!! He's done with the crutches and all set to have some fun on his spring vacation.
SOOOOOOOOOOOO - you turn your crutches into a microphone and sing! What a goof ball! We got home late this afternoon and he was overjoyed that the ice is gone from the canal and is already out there fishing. Way too cold for me!
On Saturday, I had a fellow blogger visit the shop. Fran from thebagglady blog and her hubby stopped in and it was so nice to meet in person.

The weather sure isn't cooperating and Mother Nature must not have been told that it's supposed to be spring! Yesterday, up north at our cottage, it did everything! We had rain, sleet and then huge snowflakes. The roads were bad before it was over. Sure was grateful that we had our little house to go snuggle in and keep cozy.

Thank you so much for all of your kind wishes and thoughts for our Gannon. I can't even fathom what driver's must be thinking when they hit and run, but thank goodness he is fine now.

Time to get back to the real world and start sewing again. Talk to you soon.

Until next time...

  3. Glad to hear your grandson Gannon is well on his way to a complete recovery. A hit and run? How can this offender live with him/herself, I just don't understand it. Cold/wet/snowy/ rainy/ our weather as well. I do believe I retired my cocoa maker a bit too early!

  4. Glad to hear your Gannon is doing so well. Thank God he was not injured worse. I can't believe that someone would leave him there after hitting him. Unbelievable.
Where is spring? -- we are not having nice weather here in the northeast either. I so want to see a few sunny days in a row!! Rain tonight and tomorrow for us. So I shall stay in and clean and sew. I guess I'll try to enjoy the 'indoor' days as much as possible before being outside all the time!
    Have a happy week!

  5. Was so worried about Gannon. So glad he is fine. Just wonder what that person who hit him is thinking.... Guess he didn't care. So sad. So proud he will be able to enjoy some of spring break. Have fun sewing. I have been playing in craft room today. Lots started,,, nothing finished. Have a good day.

  7. Hi Dawn, We were at our antique show in New Haven, MI on Sunday and it was snowing, raining with lightning and thunder all at the same time...I believe Mother Nature is mixed up a bit. Glad to hear that Gannon is doing fine now. How horrible for someone to do that to him. Janice
