Last night was such a fun night in our little village of Holly. It was the annual Sites, Sounds and Tastes of Holly. There was food, music, shoppers and just all around fun!
The street was blocked off with huge tents set up, live bands played into the night and it was so much fun to watch all of the people join in the festivities.
Zanie Janie and I set a tent up outside of our shops for people to get out of the sun and it was great to visit when we weren't busy.
My hubby brought in the brand new 2011 Cadillac CTS and people were drooling! It sure is a beauty.
Daughter Ashley had her premiere of "Surre Cakes" in the shop. She brought in 150 cupcakes and they were SOOOOOO adorable and delicious too. Customers were standing in line to buy them. Hope this launch gets her going on her new business!
I'm so proud of her and her creative spirit! You've never seen cakes like she does, they are all so unique!
My favorite were these little bluebirds in their nest!
All the kids loved the marshmallow sheep.
Have you ever seen cuter baby owls?
This picture does not do this little chickens justice - they sold out immediately.
We also had sunflowers
and more flowers. Anyone interested in ordering cakes can contact Ashley through the shop or go to her facebook "Surre Cakes". You won't be disappointed!
When we closed up shop, Mary (the gal that owns the art gallery) called me over to see this HUGE moth that was hanging on her flag. I think it is a "Hummingbird Moth", but I couldn't see the top of his head. It was gorgeous though and just sat there while we took pictures.
All in all, it was a great evening and the music was still going when we left about 10:30 p.m. Thanks to all who helped make this a successful night of fun for our little village!
Until next time...
