FALL SOUP AND CORNBREAD...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TONY! Sunday evening, Ashley invited us to their home to celebrate birthdays for Dick, Tony and I. Tony loves to play games on his X Box, so what an appropriate cake for Ashley to bake! By the way, Tony is our son-in-law.
Can you see the original on top of the t.v.?
Little Lucy LOVES musical cards. She opens and closes them a million times and has to dance every time.
We have another chilly day in Michigan, but a good one to stay inside and start sewing - again. Time to move on to Christmas items. In less than a month it will be time to redo the shop into a winter wonderland. I will also have a show in November, so... Sew, sew, sew...
So many people loved our soup from Witch's Nite Out that I thought I would share the EASY recipe. It is perfect for you creative gals that want to have some extra time. You just need a crock pot!
Corn Chowder:
1 can corn
1 can creamed corn
1 can evap. milk
Onion, salt, pepper
16 oz. frozen hashbrowns
Smoked sausage (cut into small pieces)
Put everything in the crock pot, turn on low for 8 hours and you will have the most wonderful soup!
Corn Bread:
Melt 1 stick butter in pie plate
Mix 1 egg, 2 cups Bisquick, and 1 SMALL can of creamed corn
Glob over butter (do not mix in)
Bake at 375 for 30 minutes.
Talk about a fast and easy meal! It is perfect for this time of year. Hope you enjoy!
Well friends, time to start cutting out snowmen, santas and gingerbread.
Until next time...
