GANNON DAY...

What a fun evening and morning I had with our Gannon. He hadn't been over for awhile and it was just the best to be able to spend time together. Last night we just kind of hung out, got a DQ, he rode Grandpa's bike, and we visited Ashley's family for a few minutes. Then this morning he came to work with me and was quite the helper. I promised him an omelet from Bittersweet Cafe (which he loves), so we had to have that before we could get started on anything.
Then came the chocolate/peanut butter waffle cone (our favorite) from Carrie's Delights. YUMMY!

I showed him how to do a little needle felting, but I think he was a little nervous about the big needle. He did help me paint a fall sign though.
Proud big brother with Caroline Hope. Isn't she a dolly? (He has another brother and sister - Jack and Elise - too.)
Gannon, Amanda and Caroline. Can you see where he got his blond hair?
We're hoping to get up to the cottage soon and he REALLY wants to go fishing with Grandpa! Gannon named our cottage "The Little House" when he was about 3 years old. We have such great memories from that special place.
Hope to have more goodies to share tomorrow. I talked to Debbie and she said she has a whole load to bring! HOORAY!! Can't wait to see what it is this time. You know she finds the best prims!
I had a great evening with my dad tonight. I took him a big burger, baked beans, potatoe salad and chips and he LOVED it. That ice cold root beer tasted pretty good too. We visited quite awhile and went outside to the courtyard to set in the sunshine. It was just quiet and peaceful and I appreciate every minute I get to spend with my dad. We had good conversation, but he probably won't remember by tonight. At least I will.
Guess I'm going to push myself to get sewing again. Got lots of dolls to get made and there's no time like the present.
Until next time...

  4. What a beautiful family you have...glad you got to spend time with your dad. When my mom was like that I would get her to talk about her childhood, she told me about a blue doll cradle she got one year, in the 20's, for Christmas, oh, how I'd love to have that now:)
