GARDEN PROJECT...

Good morning prim pals! Just wanted to share a little project that I worked on in the shop yesterday. My cousin's husband sent me some old tools and I was trying to think of what I could do with them.
These are old plastering and cement trowels, so they would be perfect to put in a garden. I just painted them and put some wording on and I love how they turned out. I'm sure you could find this kind of stuff at lots of garage sales and do it yourself.

This "herb garden" would be sweet hooked to an old chair or planter box.
My favorite is "Weeds" - which is what my gardens will be turning into if I don't get out there soon!
Tonight Dick is going with me to pick up another load of antiques - furniture this time! Hooray! Can't wait to get it all placed in the shop. (Tomorrow will be a busy day tweeking.) I'll share pictures after we get it organized. Today my friend Debbie is bringing me more goodies too. It's always fun to see what she finds! I think this time it will be "smalls". She is going to spend the day at the shop with me, so we can have time to catch up and have lunch together.
I sure haven't had much time to post lately. We went to the nursing home on Saturday evening to have birthday cake for my mom and when we got there they sent my dad back to the hospital for a blood transfusion. They didn't get him into a room until 1 a.m. He had a little surgery on Monday and I spent the night at the hospital - which was a long, weary night. He is back at the nursing home now and so confused. Sure does break your heart and I've been trying to spend as much time with him as I can. I slept almost 12 hours last night! I don't remember the last time I've been this tired. Please keep him in your prayers, it means the world to me.
Well, better get going to my little shop. I'm looking forward to spending time with my friend and seeing what she brings. Will have more pictures soon.
Until next time...
