RAINY SATURDAY...

Happy Saturday everyone! I sure could have slept in today! We went to Soaring Eagle Casino last night (about 100 miles away) to meet brother and sister-in-law to see old George Jones in concert. My hubby has always wanted to see him - so he finally got the chance. Actually, it was better than I had anticipated (I'm not much of an OLD country fan). I'm not much of a gambler either, but I did bet $2.00 in the nickle slots! (Big spender!) Got home about 1:00 a.m., so it was earlier than I thought it would be. Old George is starting to look his age!
Okay, on to the new stuff. This little desk and chairs are handpainted and sealed. Would be adorable for Grandma's house! $49.95 (3 pieces)

Closeup of desk top.
Garden shovel for those gals without green thumbs! $19.95

I'm so excited about this new jewelry we got in. It's made by a local Holly artist (Karri) and she does an excellent job. This is just a sampling, but she does the soldered glass, uses old game pieces (dominos, backgammon, scrabble), bamboo, and broken china. Prices range from $14.95 to $24.95
Okay, Terri DID come in yesterday, but will be back Tuesday with the HUGE load of goodies. Thought I'd share a few things she brought yesterday. This star pinkeeps are so cute. $9.95
Little stockings. One has a ladybug in the top and one has a crow and sunflower. Cute as can be. $16.95 each
BUT - my favorite were these stepping stones. They are handmade in the shape of leaves and all different sizes. Terri has them all the way around one of her gardens and they are so unique!
Prices range from $8.95 to $19.95. See why I love to see her come? She comes up with the best, most unique goodies. We already started planning Halloween yesterday and she has some great ideas springing up from that talented mind! Her husband, Jack, is very talented too and has agreed to help with some other projects we have in mind. HOORAY!!!
I was so happy to see their little Shay come with them yesterday. She had a VERY serious surgery a few weeks ago and it was one of her first trips out. She is 10 years old and so beautiful with this LONG reddish/blond hair. Abbey had come down to have lunch with me yesterday so they finally got to meet and are already planning a day to play. Abbey went home and told her mom all about her new friend.
Well gals, time to open the shop. It's raining here today (so what else is new), but I hope we get lots of people to see all our new goodies.
Have a great Saturday and I hope the sun is shining in your neck of the woods!
Until next time...

  6. I just told Rob you saw ole' George, he rushed over to see the pic and said, "Dang it (well, something close to dang it, anyway!) I wanted to go to that show." Glad you had fun - I'm not a gambler either but I have been to TSE a couple of times.

If I had room, I'd be buying that table and chairs in about a New York minute -- cute-cute-cute! I love all your other goodies as well. Have a great rest of the weekend, Dawn.

  11. Oh yes, I had long ago decided I would have little furniture. I want some nice wood pieces like we had at my school. But I never thought to paint them so cute!! That is such a great idea!

Nothing new here. Angela is very anxious too. She has been walking too. Wonder who will go first!!

  12. Hi Dawn.... I did tell Kari about her stuff on your blog, I'm not sure if she has taken a look yet. I will remind her! I have been working a little on the items for your shop, for the workshop display pieces. I can stop in one morning this week if you want me to, or whenever you wanted me to take a look at what you have to show me. Let me know! C
