SEPTEMBER 1ST IS HERE!

HAPPY SEPTEMBER 1ST! The temps have been sweltering until the rains came this evening and finally cooled things down a bit. My friend Debbie came out today and helped put out new fall prims and move some things around. The post is very picture filled, so hope you enjoy what we've done to the shop! My favorite is that cat on the "broom" above - might even have to make one for myself.
Yup, everybody always says they can't find anything for Thanksgiving. Well, I am going to try to find some things this year!
This "halltree/bench" is the perfect color for Halloween. I'm always taken with anything with old feedsacks!
The nesting box is overflowing with fall items - just take your pick!
Who wouldn't love the old theatre seats in their foyer? Couldn't you just see them with great fall pillows?
Fall items are spilling out of baskets and buckets all through the shop.
Gourds, dolls, and pumpkins of all sizes and shapes.
The pumpkins are here to greet you when you walk through the front door.
Our "witchy" area has haunted houses, wax pumpkins, witches, aprons towels and more.
This throw would sure make a beautiful tablecloth - right Connie?
This old narly tree and houses are a hoot!
And now on to the handmades! Couldn't you just see this prim tote bag filled with drieds hanging on your porch?
Old black Polly has on her cheesecloth scarf and is holding a paper mache bucket.
LOVE these barnwood pockets!
Little stump doll has a pumpkin with a real twig on the front of her dress.
Anybody need Halloween candy canes for their tree?
Little ghost mouse is as cute as he can be!
This old witch has her bag with a mouse crawling out the top and is ready to cast a spell.
Another witch with angel vine hair has her crow potion bottle around her neck to "heal what ails you".
Wouldn't this be adorable in a bathroom? What cute little goodies could go on the shelf!
Little stitchery stools are just right for anywhere in the house.
This old crow landed on top of the pumpkin man - which has square nails for arms and legs.
Bonnie brought in these wooden pumpkins today and I'm crazy about the big one with the old rusty bucket pocket! It MIGHT have to come home with me!
Another beautiful gourd creation by Bonnie. The top lifts off for great storage and it has wonderful sunflowers all the way around.
Sharon has also been at it again. She brought in this painted minnow bucket filled with orange lights and it sold today - the first day we put it out! Her work is exquisite!
She also painted this old planter. I could just see yarrow or bittersweet tucked inside the "pocket".
Another old planter painted up for fall. I can't wait to see what's coming next week! It's always such a joy to see Sharon's creations.
Well prim pals, that's the beginnings of the fall goodies coming into Holly Hills Primitives. We will be adding more and more! My favorite time of year has finally gotten here and it's SO MUCH FUN! Hope you can come in and find just the right "one of a kind" for your fall decorating needs - and have some fun to boot!
Hope you enjoyed the work we did today and that cooler weather is on the horizon for all of us that have suffered this heat!
Until next time...
