IT'S THE WEEKEND!

Good Saturday morning gals! Just wanted to wish all of you good luck with your shops today. Here's hoping that a lot of people are ready to start getting into their spring and Easter decorating!
I am so excited! We are leaving right after work tonight to head up north to our cottage, which is one of my favorite places in the world. It is a little cape cod log cabin that was eventually sided on the outside, but at least they kept the charm. The inside logs were painted white before we bought it, but it has some knotty pine. It's just one of those special places that wraps around you as soon as you walk in - at least that's how it makes me feel. I'll try to remember to get some pictures to share. Can't wait for warm weather, campfires, ice cream cones, fireflys...
It is raining here today - again - but at least it is supposed to be in the 40's. Sure beats zero. Sure wonder if the snow is done for the year, but I'm afraid that's too much to hope for. I read on one of the blogs that someone saw signs of spring peeking out of the ground, I love that too. I have so many plans for flowers and a veggie garden this year, it just can't come too soon.
Finally! Debbie found us each a copy of the Country Sampler Home Tour and I'll get to look at mine tonight! I've hunted and called every place and nobody around here has got it yet. Hooray!!!
We are going to try our hand at doing the spiced carrots this weekend (like the eggs). Hope they turn out as well as the eggs did.
Well girls, have a great weekend and I'll be back in touch at the first of the week! Up north, here I come (after the shop closes)...
